RiverCenter for the Performing Arts is a modern, advanced theater venue for local and national performers, with a regularly rotating schedule. Their website has current and upcoming performance schedules.

The Springer Opera House is the State Theater, dating to 1871, with a rich history. It has always presented a variety of performances, although in the middle of the 20th Century the theater was mostly a movie house - in the 1960s the theater was renovated and in the 1970s was declared the State Theater by Governor Jimmy Carter. The theater shows little opera, mostly theater and musicals. Today the Springer has expanded to included youth education and student acting programs.

The Rankin Arts Center is the home of The Columbus Dance Conservatory, including the Columbus Ballet. The Conservatory also promotes dance education, and the arts center continuing education program includes classes on a number of topics.
