    The American Red Cross office at Fort Benning offers financial assistance to families in emergencies including food, shelter, clothing, and counseling. The office is open Monday through Friday from 0800-1630 Monday through Friday. For after-hour emergencies, the office can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling 706-545-5194. Someone is always on call at the Red Cross office. If further emergency assistance is needed, families can contact the Army Community Service Center at 706-545-7517 for assistance.

    Emergency Communications Services


    American Red Cross communication services help to keep families in touch with military personnel following the death or serious illness of a family member, the birth of a child, or other family emergencies. The Red Cross can send messages quickly, anywhere in the world - to ships at sea, an embassy, and even to isolated military units.

    Active duty and community-based military can count on the Red Cross to provide emergency communications, emergency financial assistance, counseling, veterans assistance, and aid in the field where Red Cross workers are deployed to serve with America's military.

    You will need to provide the following information when sending an emergency message out to your servicemember:

    Rank/Rating

    Branch of Service

    Social Security Number

    Military Address Where Deployed

    Home Base Unit
